Sink Repair in Denver, CO
A drip under the sink, a loose faucet or a slow drain: we find the leak, fix it and check the cabinet for damage you cannot see.

Finding the leak before it ruins the cabinet
A sink has more plumbing than most people realize: hot and cold supply lines, shutoff valves, the faucet and its cartridge, the drain basket, the P-trap and the pipe into the wall. A leak or a drip can come from any of those connections, and the first step in a sink repair is working out which one it is.
Water under a sink often hides. The cabinet floor soaks it up, and in Colorado's dry climate a slow leak can evaporate before it ever puddles, leaving swollen particleboard and a musty smell as the only clues. That is why we check the cabinet as part of the job, not just the pipe.
Whether it is a kitchen sink, a bathroom vanity or a utility sink in the basement, we repair what is failing, replace what is worn out and tell you what we saw.
Sink problems and where they usually come from
- Drip from the faucet. A worn cartridge, washer or valve seat.
- Water under the sink when the tap runs. A loose or cracked supply line, shutoff valve or faucet connection.
- Water under the sink when the drain runs. A loose slip nut on the trap, a worn washer or a cracked trap.
- A faucet that is loose or wobbles. Mounting hardware under the sink has worked loose.
- Weak flow from the faucet. A clogged aerator, or a partly closed or failing supply valve.
- Musty smell or a swollen cabinet floor. A slow leak that has been running a while.
How we repair a sink
Dry it and find the source
We dry the area and run the water to see exactly where it leaks, instead of guessing.
Tighten, reseat or replace
We fix the failed part: a slip nut, washer, supply line, cartridge or valve. Sometimes tightening is enough, and sometimes the part is worn out.
Check the shutoffs
Old shutoff valves that do not close properly are replaced, so you can stop the water at the sink next time.
Test and inspect the cabinet
We run the sink and drain, check every connection and look at the cabinet floor for water damage you should know about.
What affects the cost of a sink repair
Most sink repairs are modest. The price moves with the part and the access:
What failed
Tightening a connection is minor. A new faucet cartridge, supply lines or a shutoff valve cost more.
Repair or replace the faucet
On an old or corroded faucet, replacing it can be the better value than repairing it.
Sink and cabinet type
Undermount sinks, tight cabinets or built-in cabinetry make access harder.
Water damage
If the cabinet floor or wall has been damaged, repairing that is a separate step.
Why Perez Plumbing for sink repair
Small leaks are where big water damage starts. Jaime looks past the drip you called about to the shutoffs, supply lines and trap, because a sink that is repaired once and left with old parts will leak again.
You get a clear explanation of what was wrong, in Spanish or English.

Sink Repair questions, answered
Should I repair or replace my faucet?
If the faucet is in good condition and one part has worn, a repair is worth it. If it is corroded, discontinued or repeatedly failing, a new faucet is often the better value.
Why does my sink still drip after I replaced the washer?
The valve seat the washer presses against may be worn, or the faucet may use a cartridge rather than a washer. We identify the faucet type and replace the right part.
How do I tell where the water under my sink is coming from?
Dry everything, lay a dry paper towel on the cabinet floor, and run the faucet and then the drain, separately. Where the paper gets wet first points to the source.
Is a slow sink drain part of a sink repair?
A slow drain is usually a clog in the trap or the line, which we treat as a drain clearing job. We can handle both in the same visit.
Can a leak under the sink cause mold?
A slow, long-term leak can leave the cabinet and wall damp, which can lead to mold. This is one reason we check the cabinet after the repair.
